Cookie Policy

Last updated: 2 July 2026

Stichting INFAK uses cookies and similar techniques on www.stichtinginfak.nl. In this cookie policy, we explain which cookies we place, what we use them for and how you can manage or delete them. This cookie policy supplements our privacy policy, in which you can read how we handle your personal data.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer, tablet or smartphone when you visit www.stichtinginfak.nl. On a subsequent visit, the website can read these files, for example to keep you logged in or to measure how the website is used. This cookie policy also covers similar techniques, such as localStorage, sessionStorage and scripts that store or read information on your device. Where we refer to cookies in this policy, we also mean these similar techniques.

2. Which cookies we use

On our website, we use cookies only in the following three categories: • Functional cookies: necessary for the website to function properly, for example to enable you to log in to your account. • Analytical cookies: give us insight into the visits to and use of the website, so that we can improve it (Google Analytics). • Security cookies: protect the website against spam and misuse, via Google reCAPTCHA on the contact form. We do not place any advertising or tracking cookies for marketing purposes and we never sell your data to third parties.

3. Functional cookies

For logging in to your account, we place two functional cookies: accessToken and refreshToken. These are so-called JWT session cookies that enable and secure your login session. Without these cookies, you cannot log in and cannot track your donations and projects. These cookies are strictly necessary for the operation of the website. Under the law, no consent is required for placing them. The cookies expire as soon as you log out or after your session has expired.

4. Analytical cookies

We use Google Analytics to keep statistics on the visits to and use of our website, for example which pages are viewed and how visitors find the website. With these insights, we improve the website and our services. For this purpose, Google Analytics places cookies, including _ga and _ga_*. We use the data collected with these cookies solely for statistical purposes and not to track you personally or for marketing.

5. Security cookies

Our contact form is secured with Google reCAPTCHA. This service checks whether the form is completed by a person and not by an automated program, thereby protecting the website against spam and misuse. For this purpose, Google reCAPTCHA may place cookies and process data about your use of the form, including your IP address. These cookies are used solely for the security of the website and not for advertising purposes.

6. Third-party cookies and transfer

The cookies of Google Analytics and Google reCAPTCHA are placed by Google. Google may process the data collected via these cookies on servers in the United States. This transfer takes place on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or the standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission, so that an adequate level of protection is ensured. We do not have full control over the manner in which Google processes the collected data. For more information, we refer you to Google's privacy policy, which you can consult on Google's website. In addition, we use Google Search Console for insights into how our website can be found in search engines. This service does not place any cookies on the website, but processes only aggregated search data.

7. Managing and deleting cookies

You can manage or delete cookies at any time via your browser settings. There, you can erase previously placed cookies and indicate whether new cookies are accepted or refused. How this works differs from one browser to another; for this, please consult the help pages of your browser, such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge or Safari. Please note that the functional cookies accessToken and refreshToken are necessary in order to log in. If you block or delete these cookies, you cannot use your account and the website may not function fully.

8. Changes and contact

We may amend this cookie policy from time to time, for example when we start using other cookies or when laws and regulations change. You can always find the current version at www.stichtinginfak.nl, stating the date of the most recent change. We advise you to consult this policy regularly. Do you have questions about this cookie policy? Then please contact Stichting INFAK, established in the Netherlands and registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 97212482, at info@stichtinginfak.nl. More information about the processing of your personal data can be found in our privacy policy. If you disagree with the way we use cookies or personal data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (the Dutch Data Protection Authority), via autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
